This Year’s AGM was planned to take place on Tuesday 7th April in the Lord Bagenal Hotel Leighlinbridge. It has been suspended until further notice due to the Covid19 Pandemic and will be rescheduled as soon as it is safe to do so. Election of officers will be the main focus of the evening. All existing officers will step down and those seeking re-election or those going for office for the first time were to notify their intentions to the secretary by Tuesday 24th March. This system of nominating members for office in advance will streamline the voting process on the night of the AGM and ensuring that all those standing for office have given due care and consideration to the office/s for which they are standing. All those standing for office must be a member for a minimum of 24 months.
Of course we will have our annual reports followed by our members meeting chaired by the newly appointed committee and draw for a hamper for all paid up members in attendance on the night. Tea and savouries will be served in the bar afterwards. This is an excellent opportunity for all members to socialise and discuss the club’s aspirations for the coming year. The present committee would like to take this opportunity to that all club members and friends for their hard work and commitment over the last year.
